Tasks

Tasks are the actionable side of Planist. They can be created on their own, or extracted from a note by the AI.

Creating a task

  • New task creates a standalone task; you can also create a task that belongs to a note.
  • A task can have a title, a rich description, priority (high / medium / low), a category, a due/reminder time, and tags.
  • You can create a task with an empty title and fill it in later.

Status & completing

Every task has a status: todo, in_progress, or done. Change it directly, or mark a task complete. The lists filter by status, priority, date and tag, with a quick-add box and smart sections (Overdue / Today / Upcoming).

Recurrence & subtasks

  • Recurrence — repeat a task daily, weekly, or monthly. Future occurrences appear when they're due, so the active list stays clean.
  • Subtasks — break a task into a checklist of smaller steps.

Comments

Add comments to keep context, decisions or progress notes. Comments can be added and edited.

AI on tasks

On a task's detail page, ask the AI for solution suggestions — concrete ideas for tackling it. The result is saved for next time.

Focus (Pomodoro)

Start a focus session on a task to work in timed intervals. Your focus history feeds the Dashboard.

Tasks from notes

When the AI analyzes a note, any tasks it finds can be turned into real tasks with one action — title, priority and category carried over.
