Notes & AI

Notes are where you capture everything. A note can be a quick line or a full rich document — and the AI can read it to pull out structure.

Creating a note

• New note opens a blank editor — just start typing. There's no required title or format.
• A note saves automatically as you write. You can leave the title empty and fill it later.

The rich editor

The editor is a Notion-style block editor. You can use it as plain text or add structure.

• Slash menu — type / to insert blocks: headings, lists, to-do lists, quotes, code, tables, dividers, images, embeds, and links to other notes.
• Formatting — select text for a bubble menu (bold, italic, underline, highlight, color, alignment, links).
• Premium blocks — Callout (info / warning / success / tip), Toggle (collapsible section), and Bookmark (a rich link-preview card). Drag the handle on the left of any block to reorder it.
• Images & embeds — paste / drag-drop images, or paste a YouTube / Figma / Loom link to embed it.

AI in the editor

• Selection AI — select text and choose ✨ AI to improve, shorten, expand, fix grammar, translate, or change tone. You get a preview — Replace, Insert below, Regenerate, or Discard. Nothing is overwritten until you accept it.
• /AI commands — type / and pick Ask AI to write…, Summarize, Outline, Continue writing, or Turn into checklist.

AI editor actions count against your monthly AI quota (higher on Premium).

AI analysis (insights)

Beyond editing, the AI can analyze a whole note and extract a summary, mood, a timeline, the tasks hidden in your text, and suggestions. Open the note's AI insights panel and run the analysis — the result is saved with the note, and you can turn the extracted tasks into real to-dos in one tap.

If your note says you're low on energy or unwell, the AI lightens the suggested plan.

Covers, tags & checklists

• Give a note a cover — upload an image or pick a built-in gradient/illustration preset.
• Tags organize notes; list and detail views filter by tag, date and more.
• Checklist items live inside the note and can be ticked off.

Sharing notes

Share a note via a public link. The public page is a clean, blog-style article — title, author byline, reading time, cover and content — and is SEO-friendly (proper title, description, Open Graph, structured data) so it previews nicely. AI suggestions and private health flags are not shown publicly.

Hidden notes (PIN)

Sensitive notes can be PIN-protected. Hidden notes don't show in normal lists and require your PIN to open. (See Settings.) PIN-protected notes are intentionally not accessible through the API / MCP.
